Fingers n' thumbs Media, the App development subsidiary of mmdesign are very happy to be working with Rockpool Children's Books on creating a series of apps for the iPad. Rockpool nurtures new and established talent and continues to use high production values to create inspiring, inventive, well-designed children's books.

The new apps means that strong storytelling and quality illustration can now be enjoyed with an added dimension as they come to life with vision, sound and interactivity.

Fingers n' thumbs are also creating a series of 'Read along' or 'talking' books for the Apple iBook store which enable publishers to synchronise the text within a fixed layout ePub to a narrative audio file. Readers can listen to the book as they read, and the text is highlighted as the audio file automatically reads the book aloud and turns the pages for the reader, aiding reading and speech and for language learning.
