learndirect helpline hits four million calls

More than four million calls have now been made to the learndirect national learning advice line. Calls to the 0800 100 900 number - the learndirect national learning advice line - passed the four million mark towards the end of March.

Launched in 1998, the helpline answers queries from thousands of people every week - putting them in touch with training providers as well as giving them guidance on careers.

The advice line which operates between 8am and 10pm seven days a week, receives between 4,500 and 6,000 calls every weekday and about 3,000 calls per day at weekends.
