Brecon Pharmaceuticals logs on

Businesses in Wales are increasingly turning to the internet to help improve workforce skills. Brecon Pharmaceuticals, a Hay-on-Wye based company that specialises in packaging and distribution services, is using learndirect courses that can be accessed on the internet from the companyís premises.

Staff training and development manager Des Preece said: "Training is a major investment for us, and our return is in improved efficiency and productivity while individuals benefit in career progression. Every employee has an agreed development and action plan tailored to their individual needs.

"We have brought in development packages so that people can access courses individually, and we run early morning workshops. learndirect gives us the advantage of allowing access to all either at work or from home."

Robyn Wood (Clinical Trial Manager), Des Preece (Training Standards & Development Manager) and Suzanne Stubbs (Product Manager) assess what learndirect can offer them.
